Web Bluetooth — the technology that lets the browser talk to your thermal printer — requires re-pairing the device every session by default. Chrome has an experimental flag that fixes this and remembers the pairing across refreshes.
What this flag does
It enables the new permissions backend for Web Bluetooth, which keeps your device authorization across browser restarts. With it on, you only have to pair the printer once — afterwards Lava y Ya can reconnect silently every time you open the app.
How to enable it
Tap the link below to open the flags page, or use Copy and paste it in the Chrome (or Edge) address bar.
You will see the flag highlighted in yellow at the top of the page, labeled "Use the new permissions backend for Web Bluetooth".
Open the dropdown on the right (default value is Default) and change it to Enabled.
A blue Relaunch button appears at the bottom right of the screen. Click it to restart the browser.
Open Lava y Ya again, go to Settings → Printer, and pair your Bluetooth printer one more time. After this pair, the connection will persist across refreshes.
How to know it is working
After enabling the flag and re-pairing, refresh the page. The printer should reconnect automatically in 1–3 seconds without any picker dialog. If you still see the "Choose a Bluetooth device" picker every time, the flag is not active.
Common issues
I do not see the flag
Update Chrome / Edge to the latest version. The flag was added in Chrome 105 — anything older does not have it.
The printer disconnects during use, not after refresh
This flag only persists the pairing, not the live connection. If the printer disconnects while you are using it, the cause is usually physical: too far from the device, low battery, or the printer powered off. Keep the printer within 5 meters and powered on.
It still asks me to pair every time
Confirm the flag value is Enabled (not just Default), and that you restarted the browser using the Relaunch button after changing it. Also: do not use Incognito / Private mode — in that mode no permissions are persisted.
